Sunday, September 3, 2006 - Monday, September 4, 2006

A weekend trip to take Jill to watch one of her favorite pasttimes for her birthday! The Drum Corps Associates World Championships was being held at Paetec Park in Rochester. Being that Rochester is only a hop, skip, and jump away for us, I thought this would be a great birthday present for her. We left early on Sunday so that we could stop at the Waterloo Outlets on our way to Rochester. We arrived in Rochester with more than enough time to spare before the competition started, so we were able to walk around Paetec Park. It's primarily used for the Rochester Raging Rhinos soccer team, but on this night it was transformed into a great drum corps venue. (see below for the scores).

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites on West Henrietta Road in Henrietta. Our usual Rochester hotel was booked for that night (more than likely because of the drum corps competition).

On Monday morning we got up and headed to Syracuse to go to the New York State Fair. After the fair, we headed back to Binghamton.

As a point of future reference, the attendance at the New York State Fair on the day we went was 104,268.
